Tonight in LA: The Age of Stupid…

Thanks to everyone who came out to Autumn Lights LA on Saturday!

Artist, Lilli Muller put on an amazing event, along with all of the other light artists! Thanks also to Dan Grayson who provided his pulsating lantern light show on stage and to Jerico Woggon who designed the amazing black light backdrop! We’ve got about a million photos and video of our performance. We’ll post them online soon!

We’ve got a break from performing tonight, so we’re headed to “The Age of Stupid Live from New York” event in LA!

It’s a one night event being simulcast LIVE from a solar tent located in downtown New York to over 400 movie theaters nationwide TONIGHT! The film is a four-year epic from McLibel director Franny Armstrong, and stars Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite as a man living alone in the devastated world of 2055, looking at old footage from 2008 and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance?

The event will feature a panel of scientists, celebrities, politicians and the film’s producer, Lizzie Gillet, and director Franny Armstrong. We’ll also be hearing from field scientists working in the Himalayas and Indonesian rain forest via live satellite uplink. WOO!

And, get this (drum roll)…. Radiohead’s Thom Yorke will wrap up the evening with an acoustic performance of the film’s title track.

We’re excited to see the film, and be a part of a historic night for film and the environment! Thanks to MoveOn.org for spreading the word!

Also on the agenda tonight… David Cross at The Wiltern. Busy Night!
